Alright. Let's see where I've spawned this time. One of the many identical corridors in this poorly conceived "abandoned space hulk". Yeah, I can totally understand why a futuristic space craft would be full of nothing but hallways and sliding doors.
Well, there are two options in a hallway. Head the way you're facing, or turn around. For the sake of ease, I guess I'll go with the former.
That sound is driving me nuts. Clank clank clank. Is that supposed to be the sound of my feet hitting the ground? Weird. Stupid. Honestly at this point I'm not sure which is more aggravating... the fact that I can't get off this level or the constant clanking everywhere I go.
Ew.
Just passed a corpse. Nice atmosphere, and by the way has anyone else noticed those things don't rot away? They're permanent fixtures, just like the constantly blinking wall lights and the randomly placed computer kiosks.
I stood facing one of those kiosks for like ten minutes, and the screen just flashes the same three images on a loop. White text on black background, detailed map of space with a spider's web of trajectories charted, and a crazy hideous face.
The face is disturbing, I'll give the ship's designers THAT much. It's meaty and reddish-pink, with these tiny messed up eyes and a weird grin. If I had to make a list, that would rank higher than the forever-corpses on my creepy list.

Oh! Next room over! This time I'm finally going to get that freakin' thing and make it off this stupid level! There's a large open area at the middle of the ship, and I can see up to the next level. There are all sorts of sparkling power-ups just sitting around that I haven't even seen before. There are some other creatures up there too and they seem really cool.
Alright, here goes nothing. Ready to attack... open sliding door... walk into the darkness. I hope I can find my way this time.
I've been through this hundreds if not thousands of times. Every time I get killed by this same freakin' character. I swear this whole thing is just set up against me, just to screw with my mind and drive me insane.
I saw something move.
Oh! There it is! It's squat and fast-moving and covered all in yellow-green armor plates. Its eye is like one big reflective black surface and it has three tiny vertical mouths that look like slats in a hallway vent. Shhh... Okay. Okay, here we go.
Every time I attack, I make the same noise and give away my presence. I don't know why I-

Horns down, four feet on the ground, charge charge charge charge!! Gotta get this thing... impale it! My second attack is to gnash my teeth over its head, but I hope I don't need that because it's hard to pull off!

Its weird weapon is shooting off all that light again, making projectiles all over the place! I hate that so much! Every single time it gets me with those projectiles and then I watch that thing go up to the cool level while I just lay there... dead... not rotting... not moving... just thinking. Screaming inside.
Damn! Bite, bite, bite, bite!

I get to go upstairs this time! Me! Finally, finally me!! I can't believe this, it's never happened to me before. Every time, that thing gets me with its hurting light!
So… Why am I still here looking at its body? I don't understand this at all. Does it take longer for me to move because I'm so much larger?
