No, I haven't still did that, but I anyway died while having still that status, being killed by a player, and it didn't experienced. So I don't think it may work :/

Edit : Okay, found out. That's completely nosense and I don't understand why that happened, but...
For some reason, looks like the problem was the Taser right in my inventory (that I use to stun NPCs).
I dropped it, and the state of "Dazed" disappeared suddently for some unknown reason ò_ò
Maybe the game files messed a bit reading "Taser" in my profile and so bugging all ? I don't know...
Still, that's really, really strange. Now I've acquired another one, but it doesn't give me again the state.
I don't know if it's a rare bug happened only to me, but still that was pretty annoying :/

I just started this game. I spawned in as a zombie and things have gone all right so far. But does anyone have any tips to play as a zombie? Do I just run around killing people or is there something else to do. I've also picked up things like soda cans and such along the way, but is it worthwhile to loot as a zombie? I know it might be if you want to turn back into a human, but I like the idea of being a zombie. Any help is appreciated!

I don't know too much about playing as a zombie. But if you intend to stay as one, the skill Drop Dead is very useful, it lets you play dead as a corpse so people think your dead unless they actually search that given area/tile.

When searching for zombies to kill, it's tricked me dozens of times in the past!

I wanted to try out vampire, I attacked an NPC zombie, and got infected, died promptly while trying to heal myself, how do I cure infection as vamp? I know as human you can use any healing item and remove the status

My question is, when and where are we reviving Dirt Empire.

Hey!  I've just joined the game, after hunting around a bit for a good Urban Dead replacement.  My basic question is, how active is this game?  I don't see a lot of new forum posts, but OTOH, many of the other similar browser-based games like this show "Last Posts" in 2013...  It's weird, it seems as if there's been a great dying-off of audience for these types of games, but I love them because they're perfect for my limited amounts of playing time.  So I guess my simple question is, is this still active?  Or will I be wandering a ghost town?

The game is pretty dead, TBH. I think we have like 20 players on today.

The text-oriented "BBG" (browser-based game) era came and went like WHOA.

That's weird, you'd think the appeal of this sort of game would be pretty timeless.  They're like the old text adventure games, but with other people.  Do you know what people moved on to play?  Was there like a mass migration to graphical browser zombie games or something?

Well first of all the game was shut down for a while so I'm sure that there are people who used to play that just never came back.

Secondly, there have been several assholes that drive people away.

Plus it probably just gets boring.

It definitely is kind of dead, but it's still fun for me. It's nothing like the old days when there were literally 40-70 people in a fort, hiding or active, fighting off waves of zombies and wild tk'ing humans. I disappeared for a year or so when the game was offline. There's a million reasons people left, but I came back and keep playing because it's an awesome game, plus, Slimebeast is a crusty ol man and good for entertainment too. I think we can manage someday to get a larger active player base again.

But it can't be dead!! I feel like I just got here!...  O_o

I used to play Urbandead back in 2007ish, I should of played hell-rising instead... it sounds like I missed out on all the fun.

Deja vu.

I know, it's a bummer.  I recently started playing Quarantine 2019 and it was the same thing - "The crowd had already left".  It's more active than this seems to be but the rules there are pretty broken, IMO, so our gaming group didn't play there long.  Thus far in wandering the city, I think I've found one other actual live player, up in Dobwood.  It's like a city version of Shartak.   :(  I guess I will wander around for a while, just to see.  Our gaming group is about 6-9 people and they'll all sign up if it seems like fun.  We're really looking to find something similar that's still really active, though.

They can be set by humans for defennse. They hurt the undead attacking them until they die or take out the fence
