An easier description than my other one:

If anyone remembers BeSeen and its chat rooms, these are set up similar to those, only more advanced with more options.
One of the main reasons I am interested in these is that you mentioned we may be able to drag some other people from them into hr

I originally heard about Hell Rising from one of the players on IQ who I guess used to play before the game was shut down for awhile.  In particular you might be able to draw people from Project JJ.  There are several "real vampire" types on there that I think would enjoy a horror survival game if they were presented with one that they got to be a vampire in.

Cool, regardless of if we end up using it or not, I will probably still give it a shot telling peeps about the game.

I look at it as working both ways.

Maybe some new Hell Rising players can be brought over from the chats, which would be awesome.

At the same time, maybe the chats will interest some people who are into text-based RPing and get some fresh blood out of it too.

Everybody wins and there's no way to really lose.

Both of those sites require you to register. That was the main reason we decided to go with stinto: it didn't require registration.

I looked at Iqarus and to make a room you have to apply, and have the application accepted by the administration. I don't know what the odds will be for a room that isn't going to be used for roleplay.

As Take said, if we're going to bother with registrations and all that, we might as well use IRC. I'll gladly set up a room for it now.

You don't have to register for irc, just use the free trial forever.

i'm into trying something else out. i mean, if it doesn't work well or it's less popular we can always switch back to stinto.

why not just keep using the same link? You don't need to make a whole new room every single day do you?

They expire after the room has been left empty for a time. It occurs to me that some people don't end up leaving the room, however, when I log on I see no indication of its use so I just make a new room.

If others began mentioning the room in public chat (granted it still exists) I wouldn't have to keep making a new one.
