How deep can this game go? I've been reading the faceless inc. forum and noticed some crossovers like Malignus and Lazarix. There was an Electrocannon mentioned and possibly tile based terrain modifiers.

So is Hellrising a game where what you see is what you get or could it actually be a really deep game with hidden stories buried in the pages of a long dead forum? Are their hints that lead to amazing and difficult to obtain crafting materials. Where you have to sift through stories to find locations and perform certain actions or say something specific while at a location to trigger an event or open up deeper into the world. Does this game have the ability to dig past the surface to get to the really interesting stuff?

I'm asking because I see the game world as an environment where this could happen, where a pvp world meets intrigue and secrets.

Just a thought.

It's kind of like that.

Only the unknown crafting recipes are more mundane and only because people would never carry around stuff they consider junk.

Does the item 'Monster Gloves' exists in HR?

and just as a possible suggestion, if it doesn't exist could it, and could it allow for the collection of 'Mad Mold' in Toy Shops and Sub-Level Z?

if [player] is wearing [Monster Gloves] then [Search] in [Toy Store/Sub-Level Z] has miniscule chance of finding [Mad Mold]

if [player] is not wearing [Monster Gloves] then [Search] in [Toy Store/Sub-Level Z] has -1 chance of finding [Mad Mold]

I got to thinking about what the game has in it, what features are already in place and what can be done with that and after reading some stuff I'll list ideas here;

Faceless Stranger;
While on the same tile as him, type 'Hello.' to initiate action.

Typing anything after that except "I don't know what you want, but I think I'm ready." negates the action.

If you type "I don't know what you want, but I think I'm ready." then Faceless Stranger turns into Slender Kite which can drop a Slenderman Outfit (Black Suit, Black Tie)

Idea for equipment bonus:

Black Tie +5% accuracy with Dark Tentacle
Black Suit +1/+1 Dark Tentacle damage increase (3-5 up from 2-4)
